Dont know why you would want to get more out of it.  It kick likes mule as is.  If you want more, buy the Ranger Rick 700 grain bullets.  As far as wildcats go, I have heard of a few based on the .500 inch barrel, but most are going to be .510-.512 inch.

Do you really need to get more out of it or is this a case of "mine's bigger than yours"? ;D
Seriously though... the 500 can tackle any game on Earth so it's pretty good as is. ;)

The 500 is already pretty hard on the rifle, mounts, optics, the shooters shoulder, etc. I definitely wouldn't try juicing it up any more than it is already.
If you look around you won't see many factories offering the 500 in a rifle... that alone makes it different already. ;)

I may be wrong, but I think this factory loaded cartridge is pushing the limits on the H&R platform. If you want to make it into something 'more'(a +p 500?) a Ruger No.1 would serve you better. As far as I know they dont chamber that round (yet?); so a rebarrel or re-bore. Expensive......yes, but any more than maybe destroying an H&R in the learning curve, maybe not.

The 610gr ranger ricks I can highly recommend.  Not only have they been supremely accurate for me, but will penetrate stem to stern of just about anything walking.  I shot a spike last year where the bullet entered the shoulder and exited way back on the offside ham.  About three foot of deer.  And that was AFTER it went through four inches of pine tree! ;)   As far as something different, I got a 25-06 donor barrel being transformed into a .375 H&H Flanged at the moment.  It will be the only one as far as I know.
You never know when ya got too much gun, but ya dang sure know when ya aint got enough!

A broad meplat 500 grain bullett @ 1500 fps shot through a cape buffalo end to end in an article that I read. (American Rifleman I think.) Don't know the caliber.

My 500 H&R kicked too hard to worry about trying to solve the pop open problem. It had a bad barrel (thank goodness) and I got something different.

If I had to have a 500 S&W It would be in a different "heavier gun" platform. But, I am just old and weak and tender.

Have fun.

I'm using Trailboss and cast bullets for my 500 reloads (thanks John). No kick and quiet. Low velocity but I'm sure it'll shoot through a deer just fine. ;)

Trailboss and cast bullets have saved a lot of these heavy hitters at both ends from becoming safe queens and garden stakes.
My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

I'm just going to guess, but I'll bet it probably hits about as hard as Troy Polamalu catching up to a receiver running a crossing pattern at full speed right across the middle. :o

Those .458's will be a "little" undersized for the .500 bore. ;D
Just kiddin'... are they intended for 45-70 or 458 mag or ??
Bullets that big and heavy would probably shoot through a bull elephant. :o

The 720gr RR .458" bullets are a bit too long to stabilize in the 1:20" twist at any speed a 45-70 can push them at sane pressures, I sent Tyler some to shoot in his 45-120, they keyholed, but still did some major penetration in wood. They'd need at least 1800fps to stabilize according to the Greenhill formula, I don't think Tyler got them anywhere near that, IIRC it would need over 40kpsi to do it, I think that was his calculated pressure limit.
