Tomorrow the 12th docs are going to try to reattach Jadyns colon. They were going to a year ago but she wa bleeding to badly. She's worn a colostomy bag since she had 9 in of her colon removed at 11 months old. If this works it will be the first time that she will be able to poop like a normal person. I can almost imagine her eyes the first time it happens. She's 4 1/2 years old now. Prayers appreciated. Link below for those who aren't aware of her condition. Charlie.

John called last night. Surgery went well but they didn't close her all the way up because of excessive drainage. She'll probably be there about a week. I don't know why God has allowed this child to suffer so but I really believe that he has a plan for her, just wish I could understand it better. Even the docs have said over the years that without prayer and Gods hand she would have been dead many times over. Thanks again for all of the prayers, they definitely are working but don't stop just yet. She still has a long way to go. Charlie.

PM, the question of why has been asked many times when a child dies, has a disease, or is ill. God has promised in Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose”.
Even when we don’t understand, we must continue to trust and believe everything is going to work out for our good.
In this world Christians walk by faith and not by sight. We don’t have to understand everything now, but trusting in God everything will be revealed when we get to Heaven.

I recall hearing about the good that came from the Columbine tragedy. Some of the parents of the children that were killed were traveling around the country speaking to young people. A father of one of the children that was killed talked to people about how God has worked in their lives since their daughter was killed. I remember hearing that this family found something in their daughter’s room with her hand prints on it with an inscription that said “these hands belong to me, and someday they will touch millions of people’s hearts". So the family went across the nation speaking at many schools telling kids to spread acts of kindness like their daughter did when she was alive.

I remember part of a story about a man that was looking back over his life, as I remember it. He saw his footsteps in the sand with Jesus footsteps beside his all the way except when he came to a hard time in his life, there he could see just one set of foot prints, so he asked the Lord about this. The man wanted to know where the Lord was when he needed Him most. The Lord replied, "The reason there is only one set of footprints is because that is where I carried you.

Christians do have to weather storms throughout their lives. If not one now, one will be coming. With faith in Christ, He will carry us through it.

I will certainly keep Jaydn in my prayers, and ask God to lay his healing hands upon her.

DDZ. Thank you so much for your reply, very comforting. She's been studied by drs from 5 nations. They have basicly written a book about her, what helped, what didn't. She's been a human guinea pig for those drs, one experiment after another. I've lost track of the times the docs have called the family in and said, theres no way she can live through the night, even then, we still prayed. Last we saw her she still had braces on her legs, the steroids play heck with her muscle development. Through it all when she isn't sick or hurting, she loves life. At 4 1/2 she realizes that theres another life besides being sick and hurting all the time and she resents all these hospitol visits and bleeding so much. Thanks guys for all the prayers, she needs each and every one of them. Charlie.

There's so many things my simple mind can't understand. Faith requires it.

I find the book of Job explains much about the trial of man on earth, and reminds us the faithful are always restored by the grace and glory of god.

I'm glad the news is good, and pray she'll soon be restored.

I saw this on Dr. Oz. A wierd cure for ulcerative colitis is whipworms. This may help Jadyn. It's worth asking her doc.
