Thats lots of choke even if its a tight bore. It may well fire the slugs but I believe it will beat the gun to a early death and the ribs will get lose quick..I would send the gun to someone like Mike Orlen on the east coast who works alot with SxS guns

Yeah, that's tight and tighter! You could fire slugs thru it but accuracy may not be all that good. I've had my best luck with open choked guns.
When I was a kid, I carried an old 20ga with a full choke barrel, when deer hunting. It was a toss up as to where those slugs were gonna go most of the time.

It is a tight choke if the bbls in front of the choke area is really open , if it is tight also then they may not be considered tight as we think. In many cases chokes that tight were for shooting lead shot with wads and no shot cup. also if the gun has any age on it you might check to see if the chambers are 2 3/4 or 2 1/2 inch. If the full length of bbl is tight it may shoot slugs ok , the foster/rifled slug passing from a large bore to a tight choke was able to yaw as it passed into the choke. It would then be out of blance as it came out and fly bad. If the slug is held stright from chamber to muzzle it might shoot ok. Foster/rifled slugs are rifled for safety - give the lead a place to go in a tight bbl/choke. I would consult a good SXS gunsmith .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Its not that old of a gun.German guns with a .719 bore are not uncommon but we are still looking at over 50 points of constriction

Is it a 16GA?
chokes go down based on constriction from the bore.
nominally the 16 ga is .69  so yes it looks like they are pretty tight.
Before you shoot it at all check the barrels.  if you see,60, 65, or 70 on the barrels that is the length of the shell it will take.
60mm, 65mm (2.5") and 70mm or 2 3/4"
Also with shotguns the choke is just how closed it is from the bore and not how fast it closes.  Some guns with full chokes shoot larger shot well and others don't.  What patterns well with 7.5 my have huge holes with 4 shot.
Also the wad has a lot to do with patterns.

Although Briley is not the only choke authority they do well with them. They say a .O40 difference between bbl and choke is extra full. You have .055 and .047 . Do ya'll have turkey shoots ? I have a XX full and two tubes tighter from Briley .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

It could very well be a 16 gauge.  Have you checked that?  16 gauge in Europe is like the 12 gauge here.  Much more popular than 12 over there.

Fixed guns tend to have a tighter choke then those with choke tubes.
