It says AD US PAT. 2876576. Those are the only #'s on the receiver that I see. I took the barrel off also and did not see any numbers.

Any chance you can post some pictures of the receiver?

Other receivers from that era have been seen without serial numbers.  I don't know why - H&R seemed to be "dedicated" to serial or at least batch numbering ALL of their various firearms from the 1870s on?????
The 'AD' stamping indicates manufacture in 1967.  Of course, after the GCA of 1968, all firearms have a unique ID number.

Ductile cast iron yes, not SB1 tho, SB1(and SB2) didn't happen until H&R 1871 made them.

My Topper 158 is a profiled receiver with just a Z and then the same pat. #. It is a .22 cal Remington Jet. Kurt

Can any rifle calibers can be put on that frame? Your 22 rem. Is a centerfire? The barrel and stock are unfortunately no longer of any use.

No, only low pressure chamberings, stick with those they were originally chambered in, Jet, Hornet, 30-30, 357mag,  I'd add 44 mag and 45-70 trapdoor level to the list.
