Well guys, it was a hard decision, but I finally took the 10mm plunge. I had narrowed my choices down to the Glock mdl 20 and the EAA EA10. There were several factors that influenced my decision. The Glock 20 is the same platform as my 21. It would fit in my duty gear and LE hi cap magazines are cheap and readily available. The mdl 20 has a lot going for it with Glock reliability and conversion barrels cheap and plentiful. On the other hand, I have never owned a pistol based on the CZ platform, but have heard nothing but good things about them. Price wise, I could pickup a near new Glock 20 for about $375-400. The EA10, with the wonder finish NIB for under $350. The EAA can be carried with the hammer down in the tradional DA mode, or in the 1911 style "cocked and locked" mode. Should I want them, barrels are available on the net for under $100 for caliber conversions. The EA10 comes with one magazine, so I'd have to purchase additional mags which would bump up the initial investment somewhat. I don't think any LE mags have been made for this gun, so if I want hicaps I'd have to pay dearly. Well,---------------------I've owned, and still own Glocks. Time to get something new! I ordered the EA10 today. I don't see a need for the hicaps at the price they go for, so I'll go with the lower price 10 rd mags and still come in under the price of the Glock! It's too late to make a difference, but any input on the CZ design/performance would be interesting.
Thanks,
Savage
