When I was in The Marine Corps I showered with hundreds of men. Back then we did not worry about queers. If one was discovered he was gone in an instant for his own protection! If one had been stupid enough to put the move on one of the guys he would and on rare occasions did get beaten to death!

This will be market driven. The all volunteer military may suffer greatly from this move. With 3 wars going on the Dems may have to start the draft all over. They have had to use the Nat'l Guard to fight the wars now. What will happen when they must force more men to join.

Just as I thought. Sodom and gomorah were 2 cities filled with depraved men and women doing unspeakable things, homosexuality, bestiality, etc. Gods Angels told Lot to take his family and flee the city because God was going to destroy it and everyone in it. The Angels told Lot to not look back. lots wife turned to look and was turned into a pillar of salt. Those 2 cities were totally destroyed, and all life in it. Homosexuality = sin= death. What is with the references to the Bible and gays? Adultery is a disease in the military and nobody clammers about that. The Bible I read did not condone adultery. Does the military work on Sunday? I hope not for that would be against the grain. If you want to hate something then fight rabies or cancer or something. Personally, if a person ia going to live, fight, and die so my family can live in peace then I don't care what that person does in their personal time. I work with folks that are gay. It has absolutely no affect on the job. My wife works with two gay Drs. No affect. And as far as the "Southern Baptist" pressure. These are the same folks that tried to convince my Dad to put me and my brother up for adoption after my Mom died. They said that was the only way he would find a suitable wife. My Dad left the "church" after that.

MOHAWK. Your Dad was right to leave that church, what a thing for anybody to say. Nobodys Bible condones adultery but fail to see what that has to do with homosexuals. I see soldiers being on duty on Sunday as no different than hospitols, firemen, police, ems, they are all vital services. No different than with a farmer feeding and caring for his livestock, they depend on him for sustinence, same way we depend on the above mentioned vital services.

The Prophet Elisha was returning from a miracle of God when he was sassed by children. He called on the Lord and two bears came out of the woods and tore 42 children to bits. It seems that for those who recognise sin, they are called upon to curse, rend and kill those sinners. I have read the Bible in many variations and more than one language. I own over 40 variations and have read them all. Lot offered his virgin daughters to a mob for any purpose the mob wanted. Yet it is his wife who is turned to salt in Genisis 18. These passages seem to be universal in all of the Bibles I have read. If you are so ready and confident to call out "SINNER", then I assume you are also ready to rend and murder children and to buy your safety with the bodies of your daughter and wife.
I repeat an earlier question. What Bible by what publisher are you referring to. To me Sodom and Gomorah in Genisis is the story of a man rescued by God who should have been eliminated from the gene pool

Adultery and Homosexuality are both sins. The difference is that there are not pro adultery groups trying to promote adultery as normal. If homosexuals did keep their perversion to themselves it would be different. Instead they want to make their lifestyle appear normal in society. Why do homosexuals have to make their lifestyle an issue, like for instance having a gay day promotion in Disney and other public places. The same with military service. I'd post some scripture references here but I sincerely doubt that several of you even have a Bible. We had a great time at church tonight, our Revival started this evening. Homosexuality was part of the message. Nothing like a gool old fashioned country preacher who tells it like it is. POWDERMAN.

Does God love homosexuals?? YES, of course he does, but he most asuredly will punish them if they don't repent of their sins and stop their deviate behaviour.

Like I said I think it is wrong . But as of yet don't know how to deal with a person born with equiptment for both male and female . If the parents and doctor makes a choice at birth who knows what the child wants or will develope into? How as a christian does one concil this person ? What is right or wrong for them ? Like I said God should judge these people . Nither you nor I know why people do what they do , only God does. Spouting out hell fire and brimstone in a country church to people facing obsticals never thought of by most gives little comfort to those in need. I worked with a person like this years ago and since have found it better to not judge.

Good post Shootall. People do not choose to be homosexual. Why would anyone choose a lifestyle that for the most part causes nothing but misery? That is what I do not understand about the intolerance toward homosexuals. Question for Powderman, when did you decide to become heterosexual (i assume that you are)? Did you have to make a conscious decision one morning, I guess not, neither does a homosexual.
