Contender Boyds stock ?
« on: April 14, 2011, 06:59:31 PM »
I have a th stock and matching forend made by boyds for my contender carbine that I am missing the screws to.  We had a fire and while I saved the stock and forend between two moves and tight space in the rental the hardware was lost.  We are back home and i want to get the hornet back together for ground hogs.  i have spent over an hour on hold with boyds over two phone calls so does anyone know the size for the mounting hardware for the boyds setup.  Thanks

Phone calls seldom work with Boyds (aka poor customer service).

You might try sending an email to Laura at: customers@boydsgunstocks.com

She also hangs out at Rimfire Central and might reply faster to a private message there if are a member.  User name:  lauraboyds

Or put a post on the open 10/22 forum at RFC directed to her for CS not answering your phone calls.   Bad PR usually gets attention. and past history has shown that company needs their tmibers kicked once in a while to get the cob webs out.

IOW, been there, done that myself with Laura to get their attention.

If they are 8/32 socket head screws give me the length and I will send you some. I have 3/8 5/8 and 7/8 in length I have a boyds on my encore and they were just the standard  8/40 screws that encore uses.
