Violent Gangs
« on: April 15, 2011, 03:13:05 PM »
Gangs are still very much a problem throughout the U.S. Here's my thought on a solution. If you are riding in a car, your buddies stop at a service station and one jumps out, runs into the office and robs the place, then you are guilty by association. As is everyone in the car. If he shoots and kills someone then you are all guilty of murder too. Soooo, If a street gang is known to be violent, and a person chooses to join them and if a member of the gang commits a violent crime, why aren't all members guilty by association? In my mind it's not a single member commiting the crime. Since it is gang related then the whole gang should be held responsible! Lock all their butts up and there is no more gang on the street to harm anyone! Might make a youth think twice before joining a gang. If the crime is commited by an illegal alien, who is a member of the gang, then deport all their butts!

the only way to rid of them is to shoot them on sight.   until that happens, we wont be rid of them.

They are guilty by association. My college roommate's brother did time in the use of RICO against street gangs. The brother was in college at the time (state school though....lol), and retired. The cops picked him up at his dorm. I do not believe that he actually killed anyone after he turned 16, though he almost certainly had when younger, as that was his rep. That was how the gang worked, the younger ones who could not do real time, had the dirtiest jobs. Rough life, walk on the wrong block, meet the wrong gang, die that night. And it went both ways. Was their way of earning promotions. Regardless, he did adult time for murders, etc ordered and commited by other members, during the time that he was processing out of the gang, but never for acts that he himself had commited. My old roommate was always embarassed to talk about his brother even before the arrest. Still is. Those particular gangs are long, long gone. I read in a book that many of them (who were not caught) eventually became lawyers.

That is actually the law in most places, but soft hearted jurys and smooth talking lawyers have made these laws a joke. If a few guys go into a gas station to pull a holdup, and one of them shoots the attendant, the law in most places is that the whole bunch is guilty of murder. These days the defense confuses the jury into worrying about who pulled the trigger and did the other hoods know if he was going to shoot someone and bull like that.

Heck, even if the guy who pulled the trigger is found out, he's just a nice clean cut kid in a pretty suit who just made a bad mistake and is really sorry about it, so he probably goes to jail for a just few years anyhow. While in jail he learns how to be a real crook.

We need some hanging judges again.

Until we get a handle on the worst offenders we will never be able to control the gang situation.
The worst is a gang that is guilty of murder, extortion, embezzlement, theft, kidnapping, racketeering, bribery, money laundering, white slavery, and the list has no end. It's the government and there is no crime they have not committed. If they were not the government these criminals would be hunted day and night without stop and they would be shot down in the streets without a trial that's how bad this gang is.

I know I have a twisted view on life but that made me laugh. If you read Wreckhog and Powderman's posts and follow the math............

GANGS=LOWLIFES+VERMIN+PUNKS=LAWYERS

Sorry for the interruption. Now back to your regular programming.

Or let the gangs sort it out. In the case of the college roommate's bro's gang, they did not even need guns. They grabbed a member of another gang, a kid under 16, just like them, dragged him to a river, wrapped him in duct tape, and dropped him in. Sent a message.

True. The gangs mostly preyed on local businesses. When I was about 20, I was in a car accident. The other guys took one look, and ran and left the vehicle. It turned out they were insured and legal. Through my friend's dad acting as an intermediary, I found out that they thought I was with a gang, and they ran rather than be shot. We all had a laugh about it later.

Until the legal system is willing to deal with the problem, the revolving doors will just keep twirling. The death penalty needs to be brought back and used. When it becomes unglamorous and dangerous to be a gang member it will stop. The legal system has always been soft on gangs. Yes the gangbangers know this and it won't stop.

What makes you think that gangbangers are afraid of the death penalty? Because they are not. Death can come any hour of any day from their own gang or another gang. Life is a video game to those guys.

There was a show on about some of the gangs around today. One of the gangs like to torture before killing. It was made clear if the start in on you , you will most likely die. With that said what choice would someone have but to start shooting from the get go ?

what  is the reason  for passing   MORE  LAWS

so they have a longer rap sheet when they get out of jail next week

enforce  the laws we  have...
get rid  of laws  we don't need....[drug laws increase the gangs profit margins]

encourage  law abiding citizens to shoot to kill
when drugs are outlawed only out laws will have drugs
DO WHAT EVER IT TAKES TO STOP A DEMOCRAT
OBAMACARE....the biggest tax hike in the  history of mankind
free choice and equality  can't co-exist
AFTER THE LIBYAN COVER-UP... remind any  democrat voters ''they sat and  watched them die''...they  told help to ''stand down''

many statements made here are fiction and are for entertainment purposes only and are in no way to be construed as a description of actual events.
no one is encouraged to do anything dangerous or break any laws.

They say they aren't afraid of death but how do you know they really aren't. A random act that there is no prediction for, no one is afraid of. Knowing the exact minute, yes there are alot afraid of that.

Current laws just need enforcing.

My brothers and I were in gangs when we were young. Mainly just have 30 guys to call on when The boys from the housing projects caused trrouble at school. Back then we would just beat each other up and we didnt sell drugs, or do drugs but others did. Then things changed, my one brother was shot to death and we just quit so we wouldnt lose another. Later on they organized and the big gangs divided up the city of chicago into 'people' or 'folks'. They actually put rival gangs into the same groups and started making tons of money selling drugs and women, there were cops that were former gang members that aided them. The two groups protected their own in jail. I dont think it ever could be eradicated, they are even in the service. too much money.

i never crossed paths with anyone that would have even considered a gang while in the military.  even people that came from areas with gangs were openly repulsed by gangs.

I hope I don't say this wrong but, I say there ought to be a season on colors, meaning if they are wearing gang colors shoot em".......there was a problem in La. years back with carjacking's the then Gov.and Legislators said if you stop your car and someone just looks like they are going to jack you, shoot em' amazingly the jackings went right down to near nothing.OPEN SEASON ON GANGS that's just me.... Shouldn't they be classified as a domestic terrorist ..............
This only proves that, when allowed to act outside his lawfully limited authority,a U.S. President is capable of unleashing horrendous violence against the lives, liberty, and property of those he pretends to serve...........

For years the police in the city I live in kept denying there were "organized gangs" in the city.  Then we finally got a police chief who acknowledged there was a pretty big gang problem.  He had been a police officer in the city and came up through the ranks on the street and was a deputy with the sheriff department before that.  He knew all about the gangs.

One of the first things he did when he became police chief was address the "gang issue".  He got the county, state and fed's involved with the city police and started charging and prosecuting gang members by the state and federally under the RICO act.  They sent a ton of gang member to state and federal prisons with some really long sentences pretty quick.

Of course the gang members families thought that was wrong.  I mean after all.....the RICO act was for mobsters.  Not their sons that were selling illegal guns, drugs, stolen property and anything else they could make a dollar at, gambling, committing assault, attempting murders as well as committing murder, witness intimidation, drive by shootings, car jacking's and hurting innocent people that aren't involved in their gangster life.  No, RICO wasn't for them.  Good for the chief I say!

Lately motorcycle gangs have been popping up locally.  The so called 1%ers, or wannabe's wearing their colors, riding in large groups with total disrespect towards others.  You can tell the difference between a bunch of guys out riding together with their buddies and the motorcycle gang wannabe's, they're totally different.  I never got the "gang thing".

It's pretty simple. Cowards need the back up of other cowards to feel brave. That's why they prey on the weak.

Which is a completely different thing - most of those are regrettable mistakes, and the ones that aren't are committed by a very small minority of officers and when the rest of the "gang" find out, the bad apples are generally dealt with.  All of the LEOs I know are honorable, stand-up guys.  Sure, there are jerks, but they are few and far between.  Very unlike the street gangs who band together to intentionally commit such acts.

Maybe where you grew up. Not me. There were plenty of "gangs". Not what you would think of though. Some were jocks, some were nerds, some were the popular kids. All cowards in some way. The other option, if the real gangs liked you, was you could hang out with them starting when you were about 12 years old. They also paid you. In many cases, more than your dad made. It was common that a kid would buy themselves a new car with cash before they were old enough to legally drive. You had a place to go, people looking out for you, and more girls than you could handle. For a lot of 12 year olds, there is appeal in all of this, and it had little to do with cowardice. The main reason you would not? Well it was basically your dad or older brother telling you that they would beat the crap out of you. It was a hazardous life, and even if you were not afraid to die, they were afraid for you. Or you could play basketball all summer as an alternative and get the girls, if not the money. The next time I saw this phenomenon, it was joining frats in college. There was a lot more drunkeness and stupidity in the frats though. Especially the jock frats.

I grew up in North St. Louis the murder capital of the US. and I saw pleanty of cowards. Too afraid to work to get what they want. Too afraid to fight fair in both physical confrontations and in dealing with life.  That's the kind of gangs I'm talking about. Those that murder for kicks. Those that would kill you for your tennis shoes or the wheels on your car or simply because you're wearing a color they don't like! Those that claim you as brother or sister one second and kill you the next! Not some group of kids linked together socialy even if for the wrong reasons.
