Got my PMR30 today and it's GREAT!
« on: April 15, 2011, 05:30:10 PM »
I went into my local gun shop Tuesday and was talking to the owner about a couple of guns I've been looking at and the PMR30 came up. I told him I wanted one. He called the distributor and they had one, Only one . It was ordered and came in today, got the call and went to the store and picked it up plus 200 rounds. I got to my range behind my barn and started loading mags. Looked over the pistol to make sure it looked OK and started shooting. It shoots about 2.5 inches high at 25 yards but is dead on at 50 and all the way back to 75. Didn't try any other distance ( was out of amo ) Got some more this afternoon.

I guess it is the durned'est little pistol I ever had. In nearly 60 years of shooting, that is saying something. Out of the 200 rds I fired, I had one fail to feed in the first mag an nothing wrong after that. I was using the 40 gr Winchester gray box except for the last 25. They were CCI Maxi Mags.

It shot around 2.5" at 25, 4" at 50 and just a little bigger at 75.

I am a happy camper!!!!!    Bamartr

way cool.  Do you notice a big difference in feel from when it is a full clip vs. a almost empty clip?  I would think it would change balance drastically being 30 rounds, just curious.  How much are these things selling for right now??

I see that High Standard is making the old AMT automag 22 again, cool to see the 22 mag in a pistol other than a single six or single shot.

What, no pics?  :-)

ABD- I can't tell much difference in the weight empty or full..... I've only put 25 in the mag so far. The overall weight of the PMR30 is so light, it does take a little getting use to.

They are so hard to find at dealers around here I felt that if I wanted one , I'ed better get it while I could. As far as price, I have a very good dealer that I do alot of business with that got it for me at just a little over his cost + shipping.( just under $400)
