;D that one has been on there for about 6 months, there was a long thread on here about it when he first put it on. I don't think it will sell any where soon ;D

If I remember that thread right that guys explanation was that he got took and that is what he paid for it so instead of eating his mistake he is trying to pass it on. Sounds like a real fine guy ::) Kurt

I just looked at the Max listed on GA. I would rate in about $150 overpriced. It's condition is a bit rough. I would be interested in it for a refurbish project... a new stock, remove the barrel band, drill & tap for new scope base and some DuraCoat...it would be pretty after that. ;D

Here's a link to the company that has it listed.

I called them this morning about another gun they had listed and learned that it sold. So I asked about the 158. They have it on consignment and the owner is motivated to sell it. I threw a lowball offer and I'm waiting to hear back from the owner.

Can anyone tell me how long the chamber is cut and how these rifles shot? I might be looking at yet another Handi project... ;)

Thanks, Dinny

I have one of these 158's. I bought it a long time ago, NO WHERE NEAR these prices!!! It's a slender barrel and shoots my match primer/AA1680/SSP180 loads very well.

NO, ITS NOT FOR SALE...  ;D

CW,
I offered an amount much lower than his asking price. Maybe it was too low, he still hasn't called me back.... :-\

Tomorrow morning will bring 48hrs since I made my offer. I have not been contacted at all.  I'm pretty sure they don't want to make a deal with me. Oh well, I was looking when I saw that one, I guess I'll just go back to looking some more.

Thanks, Dinny

Do you guys remember when Gun Parts Corp was selling .357 max barrels? Must have been 15 or so years ago. Guess they bought up all of H&R's excess. The also had .30 and .44 cal barrel blanks I believe. Something else I should have bought a few of.
