Uncle Sam

I hope uncle Sam wakes up, and helps all these folks that got there lives destoyed by this week ends weather. And do it at no charge or very little, we send a Ton of money overseas, it's time to take care of our own, lets call our Goverment rep.s and let them KNOW. Rich

That would be proper and common sense. Two items sadly lacking.

I believe it was Grover Cleveland that said, after there was a severe drought in Texas and congress proposed to help the starving families, "while the people support the government, it is not the government that should support the people. The good will of their neighbors and churches can support them much more efficiently than government". Of course this was in a time before we became a socialist country.
