Um yes, He does judge us by our deeds and intents.  Salvation is a gift by grace through faith. If there was no sin there would be no judgement. If there was no judgement there would be no need for a savior.
I have said in my previous post faith not works and have never believed works or writting a check could provide salvation. Why do good works? Simple it proves our faith. Faith without works is dead. Again salvation is by grace through faith not works.

Agreed Ironglow 100%. The Father did not want automatons.

I feel really sorry for you guys.  I once believed what the church taught to.  Let me know how working your way to heaven works out.......no wait, I won't be here.

We don't need religion (church), we need Jesus Christ.

Bingo - give that man a cee-gar!
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

Geez an original thought, just needing Jesus. I can see no disagreement in that statement and no one has certainly disagreed with that. It is simply wrong and immature to say we  have no responsibilty in our own actions. No one can say God has caused me to sin, that would make God out to be a liar and we know by scripture God is not a liar.

Jesus said " go into the world and teach the Gospel those that believe will be saved". Is it just me or did the Savior just give direction to work? He did qualify his statement of believing for salvation. No one disagrees with believing.
Paul telling Timothy "study to show yourself a workman approved correctly dividing the Word". Yet again we have direction to work because who else does work but a workman.
Paul again instructs that only through faith do we find grace. Not through works lest any man could boast. Again an instruction of faith. Paul again instructs Faith without works is dead. He did not say you can work your way into heaven and no one else has either.

All of this leads me to ask why did Jesus teach the disciples to give to the poor, love thier nieghbor as themselves etc. Becuase those are works, those works do not give salvation but they are a witness to others that Christians should be doing these things. Therefore works are a witness to the nonbeliever. It is one thing to state you are a Christian it is another to live as one.

Back to the OP before the huge hi jack. Yes, Jesus knew Judas would betray him. Judas' heart was not seeking salvation but was seeking material gain. As he went to betray Jesus, the Word said Satan entered him. Judas betrayed Jesus and then went and took his own life after realizing what he had done.  Did Judas go to heaven? As with any of us can we possibly judge someone elses salvation or lack there of? Scripture leads us to Judas being cursed. However we do know that only through true repentance salvation is given and that is the important part. Judas had the choice but seeking material gain and not salvation betrayed Jesus. Another would have stepped forward had Judas not chose to do the wrong thing becuase mankind unfortunately enjoys doing the wrong thing. This is why we need a Savior.

Shu great post!  Pretty much my thoughts exactly.  The scriptures point to Judas going to hell.  Only God knew and knows what was in his heart.  That is why I leave all judgments as who goes to heaven and who goes to hell to God.
