? about baiting

i come across a lot of left over food in the fridge, i was wondering if any one uses human left overs for baiting certain types of critters, obviously i know coons love garbage, but how about fox or coyote, do you think that they care about it being human food.  the stuff i'm talking about would be venison sausage, pork chops, bones from other meats.

I doubt that you will get the response that you are looking for.

Most use little bait (bait being just meat etc with little or no extras) for coyotes and fox and just rely on lures.  Now on occasion I'll use a bit of bait but mostly I reserve it for cats.

What happened to your snow trapping post?

thanks for the advice wacky, i have had limited success with the left over bait, i was just wondering others points of view.  i think i will stick to squirrels, rabbit and beaver scraps.

as for the winter post, i think it got burried somewhere, all of our snow melted the other day so it was starting to not look like winter, but today it's coming back again.

as for my winter success, very slow, 0 mink, 2 small beaver, and a weasel, i have noticed that the coons are coming around again with the warmer weather, so maybe i'll snag a few of those to boost my confidence.
