Every time this thread gets bumped I get a little antsy waiting for mine. Like a kid on christmas eve who knows they're getting that one thing they've wanted.

Douglas, thanks for the compliment. I was surprised it shot that accurately. With that elevation screw blocking the top of the barrel, I had to sight down the side for elevation and just eyeball the barrel to target from behind and above the barrel. It seemed to work ok.

Microboomer, I'm going to post a photo for the calendar. I have some photos I'll post tomorrow.

Rayfan87, You are only a week or two away from delivery.

kaintuck, what video are you referring to? I haven't seen it.

it was another vid that came along with the posted vid.....another cannon vid in the bunch......wrong rammer, body parts in front of loaded cannon etc...

It is one SERIOUSLY TOUGH little cannon!

What size fuze do you recommend? Nothing I have on hand is small enough.

Tim, great to see you received it ok. There are three sizes fuse that will work. 1.4mm, 1/16", or 1.8mm.
The 1.8mm is a little tight but it fits if the end is not frayed. Cannonfuse.com has 1.8mm in stock. Pyrocreation.com has 1.4mm paper fuse. Here's a link. http://www.pyrocreations.com/inc/sdetail/523/4113.

We received our pair of Micro Dahlgren Guns in perfect condition, Dom and they look great! Can't wait to get out to the range for some Smoke and Fire. For once, Mike is enthused about his early Christmas gift even without the usual wrapping paper! He placed them way up on top of the company's secretary as an 'Honor Battery'. As soon as this snow melts, we on our way to a 'Pumpkin Shoot' to test these little beauties.

Douglas, I shot the postal match with the 36 caliber WWI field cannon. This Dahlgren is 50 caliber.

Its a beautiful little cannon. Though I may have to relinquish the first shot, my girlfriend hasn't fired any of them so she didn't understand why I needed another one.
