New front site for BC

Just ordered the lowest sight for my 45/70. Hoping it allows me to zero at 100yds. With the factory site and the rear raised as high as it will go it still hits way too low with level 2 loads. Optics Planet has the 17A .404 site for $26. I love shooting this rifle even though I almost exclusively hunt with my longbow.

mine was shooting the same way quickto told to use the lower front sight you sugested it worked perfect on mine its a lyman sight.good shooting.

here is a little trick I did with mine I took the stright post front site insert and trimed some off the top of the post to make it shorter I now can zreo at aa 100 with the back sight at mid point on the ramp my loads are trapdoor loads around 1700 fps ;)
