« on: December 28, 2003, 05:19:47 AM »
So I am looking at buying a .45 commando made by Volunteer enterprises out of knoxville TN it is a semi-auto Thompson clone and I was wondering if anyone knew anything useful about them.  I'm pretty new to this forum buisness so if I need to take my question somewhere else I am sorry for wasting your time.

 Thanks jbt

I had one back in the late '80's.  In all honesty, I was pretty disappointed with it.   As I recall, it used a piece of hose for a recoil buffer.  The rear grip was also uncomfortable as heck too.
The positives of the gun where :  it was pretty accurate for what it was, and it looked cool as heck.  I sold mine in the early '90's for a loss and do not regret it.
