Savage 30D / CIL 621H

I was given an old CIL 621H pump 12 gauge shotgun.  I searched the internet and it seems that the gun is the same as the Savage 30D.  Does anybody know how I would take off the barrel to clean it?  Someone told me I have to disassemble the whole gun which seems like a bit of a chore.  Thanks

I believe the 30D is the solid frame model and the barrel does not come off normally but it is threaded so it could be replaced.
