W.C. Fields liked his roasted, if I remember right.
I had one of the foster boys stop in for a couple days deer hunting up at one of my cabins. He came back with two ticks in his groin area which I removed. I found out he had been sitting on the ground in a deer run hoping that one would come along. Continuing education, I think you call it. He says he will be back to hunt again.

Our sportsman's club and the local Conservation Officer's association held their 2nd annual youth turkey hunt for eight youngsters on Sat.  we got more than 1.5" of rain and no one got a bird.

On Sunday my neighbor and his 12 year old who also got rained out on Sat. scored on a nice jake about two hours after sun up.  A clean 20 yard shot.  The kid hasn't stopped grinning yet.

I figure a bad day of hunting is still better than a good day of most other crud.

Took our friends son out. rained out Saturday. Sunday had one gobbling off the roost, but must have been a boss tom cause he wouldn't leave his strut zone and hens came running to him. tried to pick a fight with the hens in hopes of him following them, but no luck they wandered off the other way.
