happy easter
« on: April 24, 2011, 04:30:38 PM »
what a way to start easter morning.  took my 12 year old nephew hunting in the youth hunt.  his second time ever turkey hunting, he scored.  21 lbs, 9 inch beard and 3/4 inch spurs.  i would have to say he is hooked.  it was alot of fun.  i think i was more excited than he was.  good thing our phones had decent cameras in them because i forgot my good camera..... again...  oh well many memories made today.

That's awesome!! I can't wait for my nephews to outgrow their ADHD and go hunting with me.

Thanks, Dinny

Great job to you both! Yes he is probably hooked, and you probably have new hunting buddy!.
Keep up the good work.

One of the neighbors has a daughter that hunts with him. They only hunt with Bows. She took a nice bird as well for the youth hunt.

My Boss took a nice bird Wen morning as well. He tried to hunt in the morning, wind and rain made it a shortt hunt. That afternoon he went to Deam Lake walked in called, Tom answered. He set down Tom came to him bang. Said it was his shortest season ever LOL.

Dinny, it was Tim and he was on Wilson Switch road.

Many times it's all about being at the right place at the right time. Good shooting!
