Gotta vent. Just seen about 15 minute's, of what I have to consider one of the stupidist tv show on tv. Alot of them a dumb, this one's the winner. A show on True tv, called Lizzard Lick towing. A combo repro operation and towing company. In the first incident, they get shot at, damage to their tow truck,no police.Go back later in the evening after the guy called them up and apoligized, they get fire bombed. No police are called. Second incident, they have a run in with some bikers, and one of the guys gets his butt kicked, and an ambulance is called. He doesn't go to the hospital, no police called. The next day, the bikers show up at the salvage yard, kick in some cars and towing truck, call the guy out. His wife steps in, and all but one of the bikers leave, the biker push's the guy around. Finally the police are called, but leave when the guys wife tells them in was a mistake. And the biker apoligize's, and says he'll make up the money for damaging the cars.
If this show was in the realm of the Beverly Hillbillies, or the Duke's of Hazzard, I'ld call it entertainment, and take it for what it's worth. But, on this channel, they push, not just reality, but actuality. I think they have a bunch of out of work actors, and are trying to hit a show that might make them some money. This show, just makes southerners look dumb. Sorry, I know alot more idiots up here in the north, than below the Mason-Dixon line. Last time I waste 15 minute's on this show. Had to vent. gypsyman

I saw a show on TV where they get confrontational with the owners all the time as they try to repo a vehicle. In fact they go out of their way to pick fights. I worked for a repo firm many years ago in between jobs and that's the last thing you want to do. The owner would not only sue the repo firm if he got "hurt" but would sue the bank who contracted the repo firm. I can't believe these guys still have clients.

Too many to list even giving ranking. List good shows that arn't in rerun and the chore will be managable.

I don't have cable or sattelite.

Ahh, the intellectual waste land of current television. Some of the network shows were interesting but rerun season has arrived. I watch old movies that actually had a story line now. Most of the time I just pick up a book to relax with.

Remove all of the reality, dancing, singing, and game shows. I usually only watch movies, and Miami CSI. I do find "Flying Wild Alaska" interesting, but could do without all the drama.

I bought a new(cheap) e-reader from B&N, what a POS. It did however return me to reading which I now do on my notebook instead of watching managed news or Hollywood crap.
No storage to take up with books, I can archive them or remove them. It allows me to download into another device and I can "lend" them out as well and they are much less in cost then a paperback or hardcover.

We almost never turn it on, but my wife likes Dancing With the Stars and I've watched a little - dumb but harmless. She's Korean (US citizen) and very involved with her church and she finds these Korean religious shows to watch. They're not like American TV preachers - very calm with nice music - puts me to sleep since I can only catch a little what they're saying.

I'll stick my neck out and tell you a story. We got cable - most basic service and they don't even give you a book, so I've turned it on a couple of times a tried to check it out. Twice now I've found Spanish court TV. Two women at the bar, younger one is a little sexy - tank top - older one more high-class with hair pulled back and too much make up. They start arguing and pointing their fingers, volume level going up, judge is another lady, tries to settle them down but they ignore her so she starts yelling and pounding the gavel, and not a tap tap - sounds like she's framing a house up there. So now they're all three yelling in Spanish and you see the bailiff. This is a tough looking hombre - three day growth, short sleeves about to rip from all the muscle. The louder they argue the madder he looks, but when the judge finally gets the gavel going good enough to calm things down he relaxes and smiles. Cracked me up both times. Maybe I'm sick. No offense intended for our Spanish speaking friends.

Take-off of a Japanese show I guess. A team of people have to do really stupid things, drink liver water, get hit by old ladies, etc. And they can't make noise above a certain level or they lose.

I do watch "The Amazing Race" getting my laughs at people struggling in a foreign culture.I have the Hunting channel( Wild TV) as well but got tired of trophy hunters .

I like the reality show Holmes on Holmes (the building contractor). He comes into inspect a leaky faucet and the next thing you know he's gutting the house and raising the foundation to fix it.

I've watched a couple of these so called reality shows on towing and repo work.
I've been in both of those businesses and these shows are screwy and the characters are fruit cakes and way to dramatic.
Most of their shananagans would get them arrested and their licenses yanked.
If you want reality turn off the tube and play with the kids or grand kids. They are much more entertaining and their comedy routines are much funnier.

Not a repo show,but couple yrs ago repo guy tried to haul a car off at 3 a m. Took a 357 mag thru the head. Guy had paid the bank off on the car and they forgot to tell the repo co.
Bunch of law suits over that one. Bank was bank of america

i don t know which are the stupidest to me.. i do know the lean in whats entertaining is away from things that appeal to me. wind at my back, the little house series,some nature shows an the like are what i like ..as to the ones i think are stupid shows..gossip about those in the entertainment
business,about tops the list..why would anyone care about entertainers private lives ,any moreso than they would a plumbers private life.. pretty much not my business and i m not interested.. jmo

Watch the western channel probably the most. Just about

when the cast of "Wagon Train" drop those trap door carbines in the dirt. All in all I'm pretty selective about TV programs I watch. When there's seemingly nothing on, I have a collection of a couple hundred DVD's to keep me entertained.

Archie Bunker was very controversial when it first aired. Apparently still so.

I agree, there are many stupid tv shows. Because some of them have been on so long, and the fact that they keep coming up with new stupid shows, tells me there must be many people watching them. I wonder if all these people watching all these stupid tv shows tells us anything?
