Winchester Model 43's

Does anybody have any info on Winchester Model 43's as to when the factory started drilling and tapping for a scope on the receiver ? Markings on clips and different rear sights that where used .

Blue Book mentions to "Special Grade " is this the "Deluxe Model" ?

A long time ago I saw a book that gave the break down of serial #'s ,grades and when Winchester made changes to the model .
I have collected these for quite some time ,had all the deluxe models and standards models in all calibers but would love to find more info on them .

"Deluxe" is the collector's shorthand for the factory "Special" designation.
