New Baby arrives

My latest Handi.. 22 mag Ultra came with a Simmons 3X9X40 scope. 1/2 box of ammo. Like new in the box. Paid $150  is that a good price? I could not find them listed on the H & R site.. No longer made?

Yeah seeing how just to find a stock like that you pay up to 100.00 I would say you did very well for yourself. Enjoy it, it looks great! thejanitor

I never reset date on camera.. Just got gun yesterday..  :) Taking it to the range on Sunday...

Hope it shoots as good as it looks. I'd like to have that one.

Is it a bull barrel? I think they used to make the 22 mag in bull.

I don't see the 22 or 17 listed in bull anymore? Access. barrel page.

Yes, you did great!!!. An outstanding price for a great gun, congratulations. Now shoot it and have fun with it. Mine likes WW Silver box and WW Black box best, then CCI Maxi Mags. For the best shooting for the dollar value the CCI Maxi Mags work just fine....<><....:)

Don't know if its a bull barrel or not.. The ammo was CCI Mini Mags hopefully I will be in business.

My Ultra Varmint  was call a 'bull' , but is a heavy tapered.
I just did some chrono test today with the Win. Dynapoints (flash plated 45 gr. lead HP) and they run 1500ish out of the 22" barrel (rated at 1550 IIRC). Definately a step up from 22LR for thwackin' junk. The fast 22mag HPs can be destructive. The solid points will take small game and leave meat to eat.
In a lot of ways a more practical step up from 22LR would be the .223, but it's more cartridge and noise than I need. I think I've had this UV for 4 or 5 years and still like it.

I belive saw some CCI 17 hmr loaded up with the V-max bullet  in a shelf at the sports shop , if they make those in the 22 mag then you must give them a try out in a gopher patch you will be glad you did ... they are mean on gophers  :D
