The larger the wound track, the quicker the kill, normally. A lot of speculation on "shock" with high speed bullets, but if they don't reach vitals, you get a wounded animal that will suffer and may get away to die later, or live and suffer. If I'm not sure a bullet I'm using will pass through, I don't pull the trigger and wait for a side shot in the boiler room that will. If I don't get that shot, I don't shoot. That's hunting in my book. The Taylor formula may not be perfect, but is a lot more relevent than the amount of "foot pounds" many use, IMHO. DP
