Man, I feel sorry for all those who died, and their affected families. I can't recall ever seeing such carnage and destruction during a tornado season, and it's just starting.

Can you remember anything like this?

The death toll is up to 215 now!

Yes and all the natural disasters are going to increase until the Lord returns.

Living here in central Oklahoma we get our fairshare of tornado's.
But the weather man this morning said we are on track for a record setting season in the U.S.
Now might be the time to invest in a scaredy hole.

Death toll over 280 now. God bless everyone affected. I read its the worst since 1974. 1925 was the worst ever.

Why blame God for the crappy weather; I'm pretty sure Algore is the culprit.

Actually, weather-guy Joe Bastardi said it has a lot to do with the Pacific Ocean cooling down, or the La Ninia effect.  Anyway, it confirms what I've been thinking for a long time; there ain't but about a handful of places in this country where the weather is worth a $*it.

Not God... Satan.  He is allowed to walk about the earth.  He has some power at this time.  At a future time, he will have no power.  People blame God when bad things happen.  It's not God that causes bad things, it is Satan and his demons that cause the problems.

Winds were clocked here yesterday at the Buffalo NY airport at 83 mph. Blew a couple shingles off my roof but that was it. Had the same thing back in the 80's. My father had a room built on the front of his house. Completely destroyed that and took down a good sized maple tree in his front yard.

I was thinkintg in terms of tornados not deaths. I had no idea that as many tornados hit each year as actually do.

I'm amazed how people want to use God or the DEvil for the forces of nature. Nature is at work 24 hrs a day 365 days a year. When the earth shifted on its axis and half the world froze to death almost instantly was it the devil  Doubt it because there were few people around. ED

Talking to us, is He? What is He saying, Powder, by killing his children and tearing up their homes and livelihoods, if that's what he's doing?

That might be. Do you think God chose which people to kill? Or that just any would do, in order to tell us that he's angry at us?

I'm reading about a ten-month old baby girl who was killed by one of those tornadoes in Alabama. Is Jesus - who died for us - is He the one who chose to kill that little girl, to give us a 'message' that He's unhappy with us? Was she shredded by debris and killed to send us a message, or... just because He's mad?

You may have a better understanding of these things than I do.

When the first ambulance pulled up to Tuscaloosa's main hospital after Wednesday's tornadoes, trauma coordinator Andrew Lee opened its doors to a sickening sight: three dead children. "They were the first people I laid my hands on and I knew then I was about to experience something I have never seen before," said Lee, who works at the DCH hospital, training staff for the storms that regularly spin up in a region that locals call 'Tornado Alley.

I live in SW Georgia so we don't get a lot of tornados.  The little town I live in had not had a tornado to hit it since the 1940's.  We had three to hit two weeks ago on Monday morning.  The National Weather Service said it was just high winds, but high winds don't twist off pecan and pine trees  5 to 20 feet up and not blow a shingle off the house setting less that 10 feet from them.  Or pick up a giant trampoline with the safety netting attached and set it down in a drive way 5 blocks away without creating any damage including no damage to the trampoline.  High winds won't tare  the roof off a house and pick up the refrigerator out of the kitchen and deposit it in a farm pond a mile away.  Tornados do and nature does strange things.  The only church in town that was damaged was a Baptist church.  :o  We get a lot of high winds and sometimes tornados when hurricanes rip up the Florida panhandle.  The bad thing about hurricanes is that they can last for days, but I have digressed from the topic.  Everybody survived our "high winds"  two weeks ago.

This has been the worst weather during turkey season that I have seen in 30 years of turkey hunting.  I managed to get one between storms and hunted three more days.  We have a couple more days of season but the forecast is for another 5 to 7 inches of rain.  It is 100 miles to where I hunt and  several of the roads are closed due to flooding.  By God's grace all of my family survived the tornadoes.
