The 240 Gibbs is a high pressure cartridge operating best at near 65kpsi. It is a barrel burner. Cases are a pain to form with the shoulder being blown forward. The same goes for the 6mm-06.These are not cartriges I would not recommend for the Handi. The 243 holds more than enough powder for the bore.

Like Fred said, the Handi isn't the right platform for either of those cartridges. You'd be better off using a bolt gun with a long barrel to match the case capacity.

6MM Rem Ackley would be a good choice, mine shoots excellent, easy rechamber.  ;)
