Location is Kenna WV. The Tender pistol has a 13" MGM 30-30IMP barrel topped off with a Burris 3X12 scope. I was shooting Nosler 125gr. B-Tips over 32.0gr. of IMR4198. Started hunting first light. Cool morning, cloudy with occasional drizzle. A lot of greenery on now making shots choosy. Working a long a ridge top when I spotted the hogs feeding on a flat below. The bore in the first picture was very aggressive towards the other hogs running from one to the other trying to pick a fight. He finally stood still where I could get an open shot at about 60yds. It was a heart lung shot that put him down after going about 30 feet. There were bigger sows in the group but I like his color and attitude!
The larger sow came from down in a hollow where several sows and a couple bores were feeding. It took about 30mins. or more to get an open shot. There was a bigger sow in the group but a clear shot didn't come so I pulled the hammer on this one at about 50yds. It was a double lunger and she went about 50 yds before dropping.
Both shots went in between ribs without hitting bone. Niter bullet exited, but the internal damage was amazing!
