Encore action screw torque
« on: April 30, 2011, 12:40:13 PM »
I have a thumbhole laminate stock that is causing me some problems.  When I tighten the action screw down tight, the hammer will not stay cocked.  I've relieved stock material to make sure nothing is binding but when I tighten it down more than lightly snug, same problem with the hammer not cocking fully.  Could a to long of stock bolt be causing the action to bind?  I'm at a loss.

That is the problem I had the same with a custom stock and had to shim both sides in order to keep it from going off when I touched the trigger.
