MN Turkey Season, Hows it going
« on: May 03, 2011, 06:05:59 AM »
Well I just finished my 5 days of season D.  It was brutal!  COLD WET WINDY!  Tom's not much active or interested moving around much.  Some activity but not much.   Still BEST 5 days of spring thus far!

That is how it was for me last year, I actually am waiting another two weeks before I go out.  Not too pressured in my spot so I thought I would hit a later season and try my luck.

I drew a tag in 244.  B season.  Cold, rainy, windy.  I could get them to gobble but, they didn't want to come in.  I had an opportunity opening day.  He brought two hens with him.  Six eyes watching.  I shot at around 40 yds.  Found no evidence of a hit.   I had never had a tom bring hens  with  before.  I also had, obviously lonely hens, respond in on a couple of occasions.  A good time non the less.
