It just proves we tried to turn him or recruit him. It would have been a good move if it had worked, but he double crossed us - probably happens all the time, and I'm sure we have had our successes. It certainly doesn't prove we created Al Qaeda. Every time the terrorists strike it weakens us, makes us look impotent, or worse. Yes, media and politics are full of corrupt people - amoral might be a better word. It's really our fault because we reward them for it. They are capable of almost anything, but it's usually not as bad as it seems. Don't let your imagination run wild.
