TCA 25th Anniversary Event
« on: May 03, 2011, 06:44:39 AM »
Is anyone here going to this event in the middle of August (2011)?

Think it is in Maine?
Also believe dinner, shooting, sales/trades and a factory tour are involved.

Good time to meet each other.

GranpaMike

Your post is the first I have heard about any TC event.  If it was a little closer I'd be interested but Maine is a long ways from I-dee-ho.   ;D

TCA (Thompson Center Association)

I am sure most of you know these things.
It is the 25th year of this group.
ED (the sponsor) of this forum and has been a lifetime Officer of this group (I believe).
He is planning on being there (from Oklahoma).
TCA has a quarterly magazine (One Good Shot).
TCA usually has a special barrel offering to it's members every quarter (since Remington took over this has been up-in-air pending some re-organization).
My favorite TCA barrel was from last year, a 21" 357 Max Triangle shaped barrel.
Join the TCA, the magazine itself is worth the fee, and sign up for the 25th Anniversary event by 31 May 2011.

TCA (Thompson Center Association)

TCA has a quarterly magazine (One Good Shot).

Its last issue appears to have been late 2008.

Is the Thompson Center Association still functioning? Not really clear from its website, http://thompsoncenterassoc.org

I have not missed an issue since I joined.

Just got the 2011 Q2 "One Good Shot" about 4 days ago.  That is why I started this thread.

You are right about the website, though, think they have a hard time keeping someone to keep it up.

My favorite TCA barrel was from last year, a 21" 357 Max Triangle shaped barrel.

Do you have a picture you can post of this triangle shaped barrel?  I am curious what it looks like.

Are these special barrels typically Contender barrels, or do they sometimes have Encore barrels?

I suppose the situation with the TC custom shop will effect the TCA's ability to offer specialty barrels.
‎Is it really Zombie Max, if it's not .357 Max?
