Pawn Shop New Finds (pictures added)
« on: May 05, 2011, 03:48:19 PM »
There are a few guns I've been looking for, and yesterday I found them. I rarely go in this place because they won't take less than the price on the tag. The guy had a like new 20 gauge 870 Magnum LW, a 20 gauge Wingmaster LW, a stainless 700ML, a nice 760 in .30-06, a 552 Speedmaster, and several Model 700s.  I went back today and got the 20 gauge Magnum 870 Wingmaster and put a deposit on the 552.

This is the nicest 870 I've ever owned.

I very rarely find anything at pawn shops but yesterday while visiting my cousin I stopped at the local pawn shop and found a like new NEF 30-30 for $200 out the door, needless to say it followed me home ;D broke it down and cleaned it when I got home and it looks like it had  been shot very little if at all. barrel number matched the serial number so if it shoots as good as it looks I will be a happy camper ;D

Very bad day for pictures but here are a few.  That's oil on the receiver.

I have a stainless 700ML but I'd like to have a spare.

Nice wingmaster Swampy, looks hardly used...... ;)  Some old yankee must a quit hunting when he moved to florida and sold all his remingtons to that pawn shop.

Now go kill a turkey with it. My friend has killed 2 just out of Inverness on his old homeplace.

Found this stainless 700ML .54 caliber, on GB, (auction # 235054080)  might need a little work, don't know how much it will eventually go for, but for now the price is low.  If it stays near the current price, someone could/should buy it just for the heck of it.

i found one of those 870 LW wingmasters a few years ago at Gander for $275.  sweet little guns.  mine was made in '73 and has the mahogany stocks.  the only downside is its fixed modified and i would have preferred the remchokes.

you will love that little gun.  quick to the shoulder and hits what you shoot at.  i shoot trap with it and its almost boring.

If you want rem chokes, Remington sells replacement barrels with rem chokes for the Wingmaster.
