Broke down and got one now she wants one.

I broke down and bought a Classic Carbine 45lc. Nice looking and feeling carbine. The fit and finish is great, the wood is beautiful and case coloring is phenomenal. I have been pondering on what handie to start with I am glad I chose this one. My wife and I shot at a paper plate in the back yard with it and now it have to get her one. She pressing me to give it to her for mother day. (Note self always buy two.)
Thanks for all the help and advice from the members of the GBO.

I'd suggest you add some flowers and chocolate to her new Carbine... because it is Mother's Day.  ;D

Many feel this is the nicest looking handi... I would have to agree!  The full sized 45/70 BC is another looker!!

My wife took full ownership of the new gun less that hour after the post. I called the shop and ordered one for me. (the avatar pic is not my wife)
The CC 45lc is fun little gun and love the case coloring. Can't wait for next one to arrive and the shop is ordering me a selection of ammo to go with it.

You done good.  When your 45LC shows up you might want to ream it out to 454 Cas. so you don't mix them up. ;D  CW is right I think that is the best looking Handi that comes from the factory.

Good luck with your new toys.  I have three on the carbine stocks.  An 18 inch .38-55, a 16.5 inch Maxi and the standard 20 inch .45LC.  I love all three of them.

seems to be common occurance. i have been pondering getting me a handi and then i took my fiance out a couple of weeks ago to shoot my dads 223 heavy barreled handi and she said i want one so what did i do. Forgot about buying me one and found one for her instead and she loves that thing. that carbine is a very good looking set up tho.

Best looking?, why the discontinued 38-55 TM, of course; and its even better with a TDC buttstock and 45 CR forestock  ;).
But if a reasonably priced CR comes along Im ready too  ;D.

I do like my 38-55 Target Classic..but I like the 45lc as well..wish I could afford one, but just had to purchase a dryer!  Boooo...

My wife, bless her asked me to get her a green dryer, one that is more energy efficient. So I got this for her on Easter. Not what she had in mind. All she said to me was "it's not green." Reloading equipment will wait till I get what she wants in that department. I feel your pain Spinafish. Luckily our old one works fine.

Well, I sent her and her sister to the spa In Asheville yesterday for mothers day also. But if the girl wants a gun I'll giver one. My father once told me "you only give the woman you love and trust a gun." Glad she fits the bill.
