anyone try multiple ball loads in 45 Colt or 45/70?
« on: May 07, 2011, 09:39:15 AM »
Has anyone tried multiple ball loads in 45 Colt or 45/70 revolvers[2 or 3 roundballs .452 or .458]?
Wonder if out to 15-20 yards, they'd be effective pest control loads?
Thanks.

I used to do a two ball load for my .45LC.  Used .454 muzzleloading balls..I weighed the two ball and found data for bullets in the same weight range.  It was fun to have a newbie at shooting shoot one round and discover two holes in the target.  I think they would work fine for pest up to raccoons in size.
