Feels more like Father's Day
« on: May 08, 2011, 01:44:04 PM »
Talk about goofy timing.  The only day that several folks claimed would work for hunter ed field test was Mother's Day morning!

I think the student who needed this schedule most didn't show up.

This was a real short notice class but my son decided he wanted to go for it.  In a week and a half of real effort on his part, he completed the online class with a score of 90%.

He was out of bed before me this chilly (cold) 30 degree rainy day and ready to go.

In the end the only eligible students were my son and our neighbor lady.

They both did well.  I'm a very proud dad.

I got flowers, cards and a couple gifts for my wife, and a 13 yr old with a Hunter Safety card.

Elk steaks for dinner.  To heck with the rain, its a good day.

Happy Mothers' Day to all.

By gosh the sun is trying to come out!

I was a single dad with my first boy, and got a Mother's Day card when he was in kindergarten...

My hat is off to the single parents. That's a tough road.  Glad folks thought of you on a special day - I bet any encouragement / acknowledgement  is welcome.

Best wishes for all the other days too.
