US starts war in Pakistan
« on: May 08, 2011, 06:13:47 PM »
Just browsing the news and saw the following. Using the same thinking as post 9/11 Bush, I expect that Obama will justify a new war in Pakistan citing that Pakistan served to harbor terrorists. Here's the first couple of paragraphs:

When hiding out in Pakistan, Osama bin Laden was aided by a "support network" the extent of which the U.S. is still trying to understand, President Obama said Sunday.

The president said that bin Laden, who'd been living in a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, for at least five years before being killed in a U.S. raid last Sunday, had been the beneficiary of others in his efforts to evade American forces.

What really baffles me is how incredibly dumb the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan are to pass up the $25 million reward for ratting out the bastage.

Maybe they thought they might get away but their family wouldn't. Then also one must remember they may believe the other side will be there when the USA has gone. We have a record ya know. We go into these places thinking they will take on our ways only to find they don't care to. We then leave and those who sided with us go away.
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

But no systems capable of delivering those nukes to the US. Most countries would not nuke themselves.

Wouldn't bet the farm on that . Maybe they share their nukes with their terroist friends , maybe they ship some in shipping containers . Keep in mind most of the world fights a low tech war .

Make it simple. Turn most of that region into a lake of glass.

In Japan they have a nuke accident and radation levels in Va. rise . Maybe that much bombing wouldn't be such a good idea .
Keep in mind when other countries get out of line and start invading and bombing other nations we are the first to condem them and get other countries to join us and attack them. Maybe if we start attacking like that the rest of the world might see us as a threat .
And remember we barely had enough ordance to fight the first gulf war. How deep are our stocks now ?

We may not agree with what some Muslims do,  and I'm amazed at the poor behavior of many Muslim men here in the U.S. (drugs, whore-mongering, and homosexuality) but... there are men and women all over the world, among all religions and even among atheists,  who will not give up principles and beliefs for money.   They are to be commended.
There is a thing such as 'honor', and it is not "incredibly dumb".
