Accurate Arms Powder - Load data for 7-30 Waters.
« on: May 09, 2011, 12:37:51 PM »
In the downloadable Accurate Arms reloading manual, I don't see any data for the 7-30 Waters.  The caliber isn't even listed.

Does anyone have a source for AA loading data for the 7-30 Waters?  Does AA issue some kind of separate manual for wildcat / non-production calibers?

I have found a few scattered loads for the 7-30 that use AA powders, but they tend not to have very comprehensive ranges of bullets, for example they'll mention a 130 and 139 gr bullet, but no data for a 120.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

My Accurate Number One guide (1994 copyright) has the following info for the 7-30 Waters 120 grain load data:

Nosler 120 FN/BT
Primer Rem 9 1/2
Case REM
Max Case Length  2.040
Trim Length          2.020

2015BR  29.7 @ 2365  Max 33.0 @ 2687  CUP 37,600
2230      30.6 @ 2328  Max 34.0 @ 2646  CUP 38,800
2460      30.6 @ 2300  Max 34.0 @ 2614  CUP 35,800
2495BR  33.3 @ 2372  Max 37.0 @ 2696  CUP 35,100
2520      33.3 @ 2406  Max 37.0 @ 2734  CUP 39,400
2700      35.6 @ 2240  Max 39.5 @ 2546  CUP 36,300

I have not tried any of these loads but did double check to ensure there were no typo's in the numbers.
As always use at your own risk but this is what my guide says.

If you are loading for a single shot you can substitute pointed bullets for the flat points just always start low and work up when any component is changed from the original load data.
