Here's a previous H&R thread on a similar problem with some solutions.

Steel cased Wolf? Some that I have has a paint like coating on it, dirty chamber, oil or other contaminent on the ammo, could be too hot also I suppose, how's the primer look on the spent rounds?

A decent tap with a length of brass gas welding rod will knock the spent case out without fear of damaging the barrel.  Wolf ammo has been sited several times lately for causing this type of mischief and I read a week or so ago about an AR blowing up with a Wolf round.  I handload all my metallic cartridge ammo, but if I didn't I sure wouldn't shoot Wolf.

The stuck case is caused by the lacquer and/or sealant used to water proof the case and bullet, the heat of the powder burn causes the sealant or lacquer to melt then it quickly cools and glues the case to the inside of the barrel.
The more you shoot the more glue builds up, the more you shoot the import stuff the better chance you have of getting the stuck case.

Yup, same here with my M1 carbine.  Stuff is crap.  I am trying to figure out how to clean the lacquer off of mine.  I was thinking that it might work in the Contender since you don't shoot the same way and the barrel wouldn't get hot enough to melt the lacquer, guess not.

I had the same problem ,coated case got hot enough to melt coating and stuck when half way out, pulled it with pliers no more of that stuff for me. I was shooting it in a Mossberg ssi 1 with auto eject when it did not eject I thought my ejector broke and on a new gun at that, was releaved to find the problem was the coating.

I think I'm going to take some carb cleaner and clean them off 50 at a time and shoot them in my TC.  I have 1000 rounds to deal with. ::)

ouch!  :(
Maybe some kind of lubricant, like the oldscool allow & beeswax?

Last week at the range, a father and son got a live .45 (Wolf) round stuck in a semi-auto. It wouldn't go all the way into battery, so the safety could not be engaged, and the slide could not be pulled, or pushed with the front of the slide on the edge of a bench, open.  :o

Why not just sell what's left of them to someone who will run them through and AK-47 or an SKS?  You could purchase some S&B or some other brass-cased ammo.  Might cost you a few more $ but should take care of the problem.

I really don't think you want to remove the coating from the steel casings as then they will really stick in the chamber.

The steel casings aren't as flexible as brass casings and the coating is there to help them from getting stuck. ie when the coating melts of gets scraped off is when you have major problems.

I wouldn't shoot it in my guns if it was free.
