A worried woman went to her gynecologist and said:

'Doctor, I have a serious problem and desperately need your help! My baby is not even 1 year old and I'm pregnant again. I don't want kids so close together.

So the doctor said: 'Ok and what do you want me to do?'

She said: 'I want you to end my pregnancy, and I'm counting on your help with this.'

The doctor thought for a little, and after some silence he said to the lady: 'I think I have a better solution for your problem. It's less dangerous for you too.'

She smiled, thinking that the doctor was going to accept her request.

Then he continued: 'You see, in order for you not to have to take care 2 babies at the same time, let's kill the one in your arms. This way, you could rest some before the other one is born. If we're going to kill one of them, it doesn't matter which one it is. There would be no risk for your body if you chose the one in your arms.

The lady was horrified and said: 'No doctor! How terrible! It's a crime to kill a child!

'I agree', the doctor replied. 'But you seemed to be OK with it, so I thought maybe that was the best solution.'

The doctor smiled, realizing that he had made his point.

He convinced the mom that there is no difference in killing a child that's already been born and one that's still in the womb.

The crime is the same!

Excellent analogy. Always wondered how a person could be charged with two counts of murder by killing a pregnant woman, and a pregnant woman could get an abortion,i'e' kill a child, and have it be an unchargable offense.

. didn't consider this a political issue the way it was stated. Felt it was more a moral one betwen a women and her doc.

Good story, but in today's America the woman would tell the DR the fetus was not a child and demand an abortion.Unfortunately his point would not be made.Crazy world! If a woman wants to end the life within her it's legal to do so. As Pat/Rick said.......If a man takes the life of a woman carrying a child, It's double homicide. It boggles the mind anyone could see a difference!

I believe there is a judge that will see it as murder, and his court is supreme, and his judgment final. "Good story anyway" Sounds like the kind of thing a gynecologist by the name of Ron Paul would say.

I heard a tale similar to that, a woman was talking to her priest. He told her that if she was serious about killing her child to bring her 14 year old by the next day and he'd help her kill him because it cost more to feed him than a baby. POWDERMAN.

Sorry, my error.  It was late when I posted that, and I thought you were asking about the difference between the woman aborting her unborn child and killing her 1 year old.  As far as the other matter, I will bow to the criminal lawyers here, but I don't believe it would be a "double homicide", but rather would be an "aggravating" factor.  In fact, if I recall correctly, there have been one or more of these statutes that have been struck down because they would have given "human status" to a "fetus" (the abortion supporters are more worried about infringing upon a woman's right than the killing of her unborn child).
