S&W MODEL 57 PORTING
« on: May 11, 2011, 12:29:07 AM »
I have a model 57-2 .41 mag. It has ports at the front sights (see Pics) and a chamber beneath.
I think these to be factory ports and seem to remember these from years ago--mine was produced in 1989.
Please tell me I am not crazy. I recall them to being referred to as wormholes.
Blessings

I've seen ports before and S&W made some models with ports from the factory but I don't recognize those. Also the fraze 'worm holes' doesn't ring any cells in this old brain!.. Good luck and let us know what you find out. S&W used to have a history on their website,. But that's been a while since I was there. Might be worth a Google..
