I bought this rifle about 2 years ago when midway advertised them for 149 dollars. I got it home, fired it and absolutely loved it. Until, it misfired. Regularly. Sent it in, got it back repaired and life has seemed to be OK. I probably put 40 rounds through it after I got it back and had no issues until the other day. One lonely misfire. For those of you that have one or have had one of these, my question is, is the problem:
Too short of a firing pin?
is the nipple on the hammer too short?
or is it the tolerance between the primer holder and the firing pin housing to loose?
I am thinking of taking the action into a machinist and seeing if they will build up the hammer nipple or machine the flat recessed area below the hammer nipple out a few thousands. I know a few machinists to sat the least.
I love the design of this rifle, the fit and the accuracy. I love everything about it but this silly misfiring issue.
