CVA Scout 35 Whelen twist rate
« on: May 15, 2011, 06:40:11 AM »
The CVA website listing the twist rate looks like it's full of typos.
35 Whelen would not work well with a 10 inch twist.

Would anyone know what the 35 Whelen twist rate is?

I sent an email to Mark Hendricks.
His answer is 14 inches

It's standard for the 35 Whelen.  It does mean shooting bullets heavier than 250 grains starts to be problematic.
