What wildcats are based on the 375 Ruger?

Can anyone tell me what wildcats are based on the 375 Ruger?

I suppose you could neck it up or down to your heart's content and make whatever wildcat you wanted. But IIRC the Ruger cases are wildcats based on the 8X68S magnum, so you need to start there. If you neck it to 30 caliber and call it a 30 Newton it works quite well, about the same as a 300 Weatherby. The 35 version is a stomper too. Just depends on how much lead you want to throw at a time, I guess.

The 30-375 has already been done by some, and with good results.  I'm fond of it, and hope to have one, one day.

I have a 338/375 Ruger built on a Savage Stiker.


I get 2650fps with a 250gr Sierra MK from an 18" barrel. It's a heck of a caliber. I still have the reamer sitting here. Maybe I should make up a rifle to see how fast it will go. I imagine that it will be similar to the 330 Dakota.

I am building a 30 Newton and have tried using 375 Ruger brass.  Not much luck.  The neck wrinkles no matter how much I anneal the case.  8x68S, on the other hand, is one pass thru the die and it is ready to trim and go. 
If you know of a secret to get the 375 Ruger down to 30 - please share.

It takes a lot of Imperial sizing wax and a very slow hand on the press. I have gone as small as 7mm without much trouble. Going from 375 down to 338, then down to 30 should work. Use a 338 Ruger Compact Mag die as the middle step. It has the same shoulder angle as the 375, and seems to work well.
