T.V. Show- "The Real Story- Pirates of the Caribbean"
« on: May 17, 2011, 07:56:17 AM »
I saw this show on the Smithsonian channel a few weeks ago. It compares accuracy of the movie Pirates of the Caribbean to what was fact in history. It has some really good demonstrations with naval cannons. I was searching the show in hulu because i missed the first 10 minutes the first time i watched it and found a full length show link..

wildj79,
Thanks for posting the link, it looks like a pretty good show; I'll have to catch the whole thing later in the day.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

I watched the whole program; good show. Yes, super slo-mo is definitely a fine thing.

Thanks for the link , just watched it . Cannons may have been basic then but they were brutally effective.
