Been trying to find .303 savage brass or ammo without mortgaging the house. I only have 1 box to feed my 99. I hit several small out of the way stores in my area hopeing to find a dusty box on the shelf at the old price. Two shopowners tried to prove theres no such animal by looking for it in current catalogs {its not loaded anymore} and then tried patiently to explain what I wanted was .303Brit or .300savage. I now figure I'll have to make my own. Looking on the internet, seems people are making it from .220swift brass, but not HOW. Loking at the specs, seems 30/30 brass would be a better start. I reload a lot, but my only case forming experience is feeding my .358win with necked up .308win brass, basic conversion. Anyone has any tips, tricks, or ideas I'd sure appreciate hearing them. You may want to contact Dangerous Dave at the old western scrounger, I believe he as ammo that you could buy and use the brass for reloading.

I sent someone a link for OWS for .348 brass recently, looked for .303sav while I was on the site, no listing. Haven't called though. Ebay has some brass, $100 for 100 cases and still bidding. Couple of outfits custom loading for it, around $40 a box. I'm hopeing Winchester will take pity and make a special run sometime soon. Thanks for the quick reply.

Buffalo has both reformed and Bertram brass, dies, bullets, molds...whatever you need. Some brass for about $.85 per case...

savageT, saw that before, got a chuckle. Little too step for a workin guy. Blackhawk, I may have to give Buffalo a call. Wonder how I never heard of them before? Still interested in forming cases though. Thanks to all.

The folks over on 24Hour Campfire-Savage Forum have discussed this issue till the cows come home.........Here's the best info to re-form cases I've read about using .220 Swift brass. You might want to do a search for .303 sav brass over there and/or contact <rooster106@yahoo.com>.
