What I got out of this dated story is that her captors were kidnappers first looking for ransom and everything else was secondary.

Yep....no matter what religion they claim they are, or we claim they are, or they think they are, they are just criminals.  We need to deal with them no matter who or what color or creed.  I don't see much worth in making arguments in religion or creed when it comes to criminals.

I reckon I agree TM7....we spend too much time analyzing things that don't need analyzing, gets in the way of dealing with things sometimes.
