Hilbil They have been building above grade under ground houses here for some time .
It does away with drainage problems ,they are basically a concrete box built on top of the ground with the dirt pulled up over them.
I have a friend who has one they are very efficient to heat and cool his heating and cooling cost are about 1/3 of a conventional home.Even though the front and back of the house is more or less open tornadoes seem to have no real effect on them. My friends house has been through one grassfire  it burned off the front porch and smoked the front widows and door but that was all.

-Mark Twain
"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms."

I'm sure they'll apreciate it. Just watching the news and 132 dead, over 150 missing. They are identifying bodies using DNA and it will be another 2 weeks before families can get results. That's gotta be pretty rough waiting.

I have a cousin who lives in Blue Springs and I called her to check on her. She has a bunker in her basement that she keeps stocked. She said her area was ok, but described the carnage. News coverage can't possibly describe what it is like in person.
Be carefull, Spirithawk, and know that your "Greybeard family" is praying for your safety and well being.
