my new accessory barrels have arrived and fit good

these two fit very good, only problem is they put a 357 barrel on instead of a 35 remington. I called to see if they still have the order form I sent in, because maybe I did write the wrong part number on the form, but I doubt it. the saga continues.

That is why I make a copy of my order form, CRS ya know. That 357 barrel was supposed  to go on MY receiver so send it to me NOW. Well if mine comes in with a 35 barrel on it we know what happened.

I just got an email this weekend letting me know the recieved mine.
How long did yours take to get turned around and back to you?

   I got an email from them on 4/25 saying it has been received and then another on 5/21 saying it was shipped, then got the gun on 5/25. So all in all it was a good turn around.
   Im going to keep the 357, but Ill ship it back and they can put the 35 remington on it too. The part numbers we have for barrels dont show up anywhere on the invoice , I think it was written as 35r and someone looked quick and went with the 357. And dam it all I just had the 357 reamer here recently too.

fyi, the 243 fluted barrels are 137.00

Im not as fussy about accuracy, I just ask for head shots at 100 yards, so the handis suffice. I think its more like 100 rifles now, Im afraid to count them. The new barrels will be tested this memorial weekend.

oldsoldja, I don't mean to sound disrespectful, but I wouldn't try a head shot on a deer at 100 yards unless I knew my rifle was dead nuts on.  Any doubts, I'd put it in the boiler room.  I don't need pierced ears, or worse yet, a shot off jaw.

Speaking of pierced ears, a couple of years ago we had a big aggressive doe coming in every afternoon chasing everyone else off.  Wayne got tired of her and put a .45 cal. round ball through one of her ears......she never came back.

With 100 rifles, how do you pick the one you want to use?  I have enough of a problem with only about 25.

 Well, if he never missed on a head shot it doesn't matter yet neither.  I shoot the boiler room, it drains the blood out and makes the meat taste a bit less like liver. Any way, Petemi asked you a question. With respect to him you should answer. How do you pic your gun for hunting?

well I never shoot animals, not that I wouldnt if I had to eat. But I eat beef, mainly skirt steak. We shoot at bowling balls, old monitors, eggs, potatoes, targets of course. Its urban here, we just train to keep the animals that are rioting , down at the end of the road.

I keep 30 or so at each house, and 30 at work. When Im not working, i tinker with the rifles, painting barrels and receivers and trying new stocks out. Its quiet on our street in the afternoon and we can shoot in the bodyshop. we made traps of 1/2 inch aluminum. My weekend house is out in the country near our quarry, and there I keep all my camo lam handis and my bc's. At home we keep the shorties and the saiga semi autos and sigs.

If they come thru with the 35 rem barrel they shouldve put on that receiver, you can have the new 357 for costs plus shipping, it was like 96.00 plus fitting plus shipping to me and then theres shipping to you. Ill let you know, and copy the receipts so you can see what they charge. Because i had reamed all my 357's and my sons' 357's too to max just last week. I may sell one of the 243 fluted too.

We just finished tilling also and I bought a whole flat of earthworms from the bait store to treat my daughters garden area, she has only 5 or 6 inches of black dirt. then we went to mayfest this morning and I ate 6 pieces of pie.

On the choice of which to shoot/ I always take the 17hmr, the 500, and 3 or 4 others so they get rotated. I have a new 45acp insert to shoot today too, lets see how accurate that is, its 18 inches long and nicely rifled.
