Yes it is a very good powder for the 308. I prefer IMR 4064 and varget but I have friends that load their 308s exclusively with reloader 15 and swear by it.

My .308 loves it with 168 gr A-max bullets. I can hit a small metallic chicken @ 950 yards with that load, and for Me that's impressive!

It's a great powder I use in in my 300 Sav. and Russian 54r ammo with 150 gr. bullets.  Reloader #15 was selected as the powder for U.S. Military's M118 special ball long range sniper round.

its my main powder, I use it in the 35 whelen and 308 with excellent results,
and get  adequate results in limited testing with the 30/30 marlin (2moa) but Im still experimenting and hope to get it down a bit more altho that may be stretch

i probably use a bit more 4895 then i do re15 in the 308 but its probably my second favorite 308 powder.
