patriot act

when obama was running for office he said one of the things he was going to do away with is the patriot act. then i read on yahoo news he just extended for a few more years. am i miss something here?? i guess o lied again!!!

HIGHWAYMAN. YEP, another obamination lie. With GW in office the patriot act didn't bother me in the least, BUT, with the obamination in the drivers seat it scares me. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

I agree that we are doomed, but not because of the Patriot Act.  We are doomed because the voters of this country saddled us with communists.  First the communists were given control of the House and Senate and they began to exert their warped ideas in 2007.  That was when it all started to come apart in earnest.  Still having the Senate and the White House the communists have been able to continue the path to destruction they set us on. 

The voters have seen the huge mistake they made and tried to rectify it last year, but it's too late.  We've passed the point of no return.

So you think we should have the Patriot act when a Republican is in office, but suspend it when the Democrats  take control?The Patriot act was created for the criminals that follow the last one to use to further erode our Constitutional rights. If each Adm tried to totally do away with the Republic, a revolution would follow, and the sheeple might gain control once again. Just chip away at it a little at a time, and the fools won't see it coming until it's too late. (The old frog in the pot analogy)Those Illegals that swarm into our country are being allowed to by both Liberal Democrats and Liberal Republicans.

We have a Liberal now named Obama, and the next Liberal will probably be a Republican.

I saw no need for the patriot act when it was first passed under GW. All I'm saying is that I didn't fear GW, I do the obamination. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

It bothered me. I dont trust any of those monsters-democrat or republican anymore. Both parties are rabidly anti freedom. The only real difference between the two is what types of freedoms they wish to strip you of and even then the difference is trifling at best.

The Patriot Act should have been called The Unpatriotic Act if government were honest. But they are not.
As government grows freedom must shrink, and this is the natural direction of the ruling class. Gold and the Constitution were the limits on government; now there are none.
The stage is set where a dictatorship could easily be put in place. "A system of government without limit will destroy and impoverish the nation", Ron Paul.

Benjamin Franklin was right. "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety".... I would add, and will lose both.

The people I have spoken to that says they support the T-party support neither Bush, or Obama, or reps or dems.  Most realize it's the same deal.  But there is a media movement to connect dots where they don't go...mostly by the left wingers.  I think most the real T-party people don't want to be connected with anything we have had or anything we have, they are looking for something much different.
