McMillan KS Stock Ordered
« on: May 30, 2011, 03:24:40 PM »
I ordered a McMillan stock today.  It's the old KS style with an olive paint job.  I paid extra for pillars.  It will be an ADL in .30-06.  The scope will likely be a 3-9X40 Conquest.  Talley LW mounts.

Sounds like a sub-moa shooter in the works to me. ;)

I may spring for an aftermarket trigger.  Not sure which one.

Had one on a KS Mountain Rifle I bought in the 1990's...had a very thin tapered barrel.  Burned out the barrel throat and wanted to get it rebarrelled.  No one....inc. Rem would do it and the Kevlar shell is thin and no one would open the channel.  Got frustrated and sold it....great stock though!  BTW...I use Timneys on all my Rem700...I'm not very good at adjusting factory triggers.
